I dun see how this is a fair fight because the bands are So different

but i will choose The Pixies because as good as Nirvana was, their popular because of cobain's death. For example i hold that Foo Fighters is alot better than Nirvana, but David Grohl isn't dead (I know I step on toes there but thats my opinion)
