sounds like you want a Vox. they're known for their growl and contrary to popular belief it's also what Hendrix used.

i've owned an 'original' crybaby back before they had to specify which one was an original, an Ibanez, a DOD, and a Vox, i also have a broken Morley somewhere.

i still own the Vox and never plan on ditching it for good reason.

some wahs do lend themselves better to certain styles as well. i seem to remember hearing that John Frusciante preferred the Ibanez wahs, i found it too subtle. shredders like Steve Vai tend to lean more towards the Morley for whatever reason, from what i understand that pedal only activates when you're moving the rocker so you never have to click on it to fire it up but at the same time you can never just leave it on as a filter.

i've never tried them but you might also be satisfied with one of the newer Crybaby wahs with adjustable tone knob on the side, definitely try a Vox if you can though.
