As far as I remember, "Lonesome Crowded" had some VERY VERY GOOD songs, but also quite a bit of chaff, so I always remember it a bit messy. Might need to get a closer listen sometime. Pixies are ok, they're kind of a childhood band of mine so I listen to them now and again, but not religiously. Sonic youth are a bit of a blank spot, since I only got a chance to listen to Sister, which I liked, but somehow never got around to getting to know them.
And unfotunately, I never heard a single song by Dinosaur JR. Since it seems like your tastes run quite close to mine, I'll try giving them a spin. Any particular recommendations?
