When I first started playing guitar I used Fender mediums but found them to be too slippery especially because my fingers are kinda sweaty. I bought some .73 brain picks with grip on them but they were suuuper flimsy, they sounded like **** especially when you try to play fast licks with them. The pick I've liked the most is the yellow Dunlop Tortex .73mm, the material they're made of makes it so they don't slip. They're a little bit tougher than the fender mediums which makes them perfect for playing fast. The only downside to them is that they start getting dull in about 3 weeks of playing. Still they're the only picks I use now and they're about 6 bucks for a pack of 12, not bad. They're the ideal pick for gigging too.
