You also didn't answer my question. If Dream Theater is the only progressive metal band you've heard then it's pretty hard to have an opinion on an entire genre of music. it band and I hate the fact that they are the entry level band for most kids after they grow bored of Metallica, but progressive metal as a whole has some incredibly talented musicians and band who do the progressive rock of the '70's proper justice. Know what you hate before you publicly declare your disdain for it, because people who actually know what they are talking about can see through your comments.
