AKA continue to have my opinion.

You lost me right around saying that medicine isn't a good example of how human intelligence has improved the world.

Thats not necessarily what I meant but in a way, yes.

What I'm saying is that something that improves that the quality of life for a single species does not necessarily benefit the WORLD. It does not necessarily make the world a better place. A mobile phone, for example, makes our lives a little easier and arguably improves our quality of life but ultimately it does nothing to help the world.

If you don't agree then OK, but give me an example. Give me one thing that the invention of mobile phones has given us that actually helps to make the world a better place.
EVEN IF SOMETHING ONLY BENEFITS OUR SPECIES, THE WORLD IS BETTER FOR IT. The idea that something needs to benefit all species for it to be positive is absurd. And apparently that's essentially the thought that you two both have. So I guess by you guys reasoning, nothing has ever really made the world better. Right? If I am wrong in saying that, please tell me what HAS bettered the world. Or has the world never improved?

If our quality of life improves, how doesn't that make the world as a whole better? Oh man, we didn't improve the lives of ants! WHO CARES, seriously. Small things like cell phones just make daily life for people easier and more convenient, allowing for more time for other things to get done. Would you rather live in 1900 or now? I'd guesstimate 99% of people would rather live now with all of the inventions and luxurious that have been created due to HUMAN intelligence.
