39. Disco Ensemble - First Aid Kit (2005)

Genre: Post-Hardcore

Disco Ensemble is an Finnish post-hardcore band. The band was formed in 1996 in the small Finnish town of Ulvila. The band released two EPs before Fullsteam Records signed them in 2003. They also release their first full length Viper Ethics the same year. This allowed the band to tour in Finland and around Europe as well.

Disco Ensemble's second album, First Aid Kit was released in 2005. The album peaked at #9 on the official Finnish chart which made it the bands most commercially successful release.

Disco Ensemble is hugely influenced by Refused which can be heard in their music. I used to like this album quite alot couple of years ago. I still like it but I don't listen to it that often anymore. Still it's a really nice album.
I have seen Disco Ensemble live few times and they are really great. They have alot of energy when they perform which is always nice to see in a band, especially when it comes to bands like this. Really nice band with a "real" post-hardcore sound.
