Overall it's thick, chunky, and down right durtyy when it comes to classy grooves that feel like a blast from the past. It's good to see the "old-fashioned" trend coming into style over the Screamcore nonsense that's been going around.
Good examples of new "Old" grooves:
Ceelo Green's "**** You"
Anything by The Dead Weather or Raconteurs
Black Keys - "Thickfreakness" and "Brothers" (albums)
Last Shadow Puppets - (Alex Turner and Miles Kane) Recommend!
"That is Why" - Say Anything
"Antigravity" (Summer Love Song) - Incubus
Them Crooked Vultures

I'm a fan of a lot of that music!
