i'm honestly amazed at just how popular Swans have got in the past year.....it's certainly not a bad thing....to quote Gira "i think thats a good thing, i think i means that we as a society are headed straight to heaven." this does go to show a) the undeniable greatness of the music b)just what happens when you put yourself back into the spot light
as for "Soundtracks".....i do think it was an achievement for the band....especially considering when it was released and what was going on in popular and underground music at that time.....but at the same time it's mood music....versus an album like "Children Of God" which in my opinion really covers all aspects of what that band was/is and could be at any given point
