Well yeah thats definitely an issue. Bear in mind its nearly 20 years since i played one
From what i understand the Yamaha ones are a lot heavier and are much more LP-like in construction so i dont think it would be so much of a problem. Tbh theres a few guitars with inherent design problems but you just live with them if you like other things about them (generally the way they look in my case).
