I disagree with this, but the studio vs. live argument certainly applies to Weezer: They're absolutely horrible in concert, easily the worst "big act" I've seen in person.
For me, a great, freewheeling live act is (obviously) preferable but at the same time you have to display
something resembling your albums.
Yes, there are exceptions --- I know replicating something like "Bohemian Rhapsody" live is pretty much impossible -- but at least prove you're more than some studio creation.
