I hated the music, so I didn't care what the lyrics were about, I used to preach that if they were so bothered about the lyrics why didn't they read poetry while listening to decent music! But with Leonard Cohen I'm sorry I do enjoy just listening to hear the words and relax. It's like having poetry read to you.

...case and point, really. it's not Music, it's poetry. Some of his stuff is fantastic, from that respect, some of his stuff is utter trash from any respect, but you get that with any artist of any shape or form. My argument is that what he doesn't isn't and shouldn't ever really be considered music.
