Dare I interpret this as "music that's good at inducing a euphoria"? I am a fan of psychedelic music and also see the trip-hop "connection". So many other cool ingredients come into play with trip hop. This is a great discussion and I am learning a lot here. I would like to toss into the hat select bits by Mono (do a search on YouTube for "LIFE IN MONO - MONO"), even Stereolab at moments and (gasp) St. Etienne (especially the first album). I prefer this to the Café Del Mar type collections/mixes only because I still have a weakness for song structure (and female vocals for sure). Maybe I just havent been on a Ibiza for 48 hours without sleep enough times yet
Oh and lest I forget Morcheeba!
My 2cents and I hope that I am not too far off base.
