The site they list on shows musicians which record labels are currently looking to sign acts (which is pretty awsom) and also has lots of musicians so you might find a bassplayer there.

Where are you living in UK? London is the place to be. Let me know if you need a guitarist as I am always up for a new project (if it's good)!
