Aliens is generally regarded as one of the greatest sci-fi flicks ever, up there with Blade Runner and the old Star Wars movies.
Alien has more suspense than Aliens? I don't know if I agree, but I do feel that besides suspense, Alien has less to offer than Aliens. Alien is more slow-paced in the way it builds suspense, but when you watch a movie several times, suspense lessens (at least for me). So, replayability-wise, I feel Aliens wins.
