Jazz, metal, the art branches of the rock family tree, electronic music in it's less clubby forms, hip hop, latin music, afro-pop, noisy stuff, experimental stuff.
What attracts me to music
I like music that I can lose myself in. Whether it's getting lost in the groove of Brazilian percussion, the colorful paint splash of bebop, the mathematics of IDM, the chaos of grindcore or the massive sonic wall of drone doom, I like to feel immersed when I listen to music, whatever my mood.
Are you attracted to the same musical qualities now as then?
Yes and no. I think I've always looked for that immersive quality in music, but when I was young it probably more about the lyric than anything else. The older I get the more things I've found that can draw me into a song and the wider varieties of music I'v come to enjoy.
