It is okay to dislike a pop star. Regardless of how popular or different or original she is. I like some of her stuff, and the rest of the time, I feel like she's overexposed for no reason. Some people hate her, and some people just complain for the sake of complaining. It's okay. It's all about the attention. She knows she's going to get negative attention, as she already has. Just because she's famous and just because so many people love her, doesn't mean that everyone who has something to say otherwise can't say what they feel. Going around telling everyone to shut up just because you like her is silly, just accept the fact that you like her and allow everyone else their opinions. Granted, there are the people who have nothing nice to say and like I said, complain solely for the sake of complaining, that's when the defense is at least a little bit appropriate.
