Well, he's an experimental composer who utilizes guitar in his pieces. I mean, essentially that's what Frank Zappa is, and he's generally considered avant-garde.

Albeit, I do agree that I think Mr.Dood needs to expand his bounds a tad if he thinks Buckethead is necessarily the undisputed champion of the genre.
