Heh... that's one way to do it.
Several years back I had a duplex without washer/dryer connections and did the same, as the nearest laundry was quite a distance.
Now, I'm fortunate to have a laundry very near in my complex, so I only wear socks & underwear once, and wash clothes once a week. The problem I always have is running out of clean bath towels.
