Megadeth could by far be the best band on the list if it weren't for this fact.
Megadeth definitely dropped some cheesy duds, but when they were firing on all cylinders, they were the best. Some of those rythm guitar parts are just mindblowing how oddball they are, and they almost never have to rely on simple thrashing out. Dave Mustaine has just one the most pissed off voices I've ever heard, and he doesn't have to descend into tuneless screaming to do so. That's why I love their Anarchy In the UK cover. Take away Johnny Rotten's humor, double the aggression and throw in a heavy dose of smug arrogance and you've basically got Dave Mustaine. Maybe not in sound, but in style.
