Christ, blacks did a **** load for American culture, they deserve their month. I'd especially like to point out, Black American Culture is one of the few purely American cultures. When we brought the slaves over from Africa, they were left with literally nothing to take with, and only fragments of their earlier cultures. When they were freed, they had to start from scratch, and invent a new culture, especially in the face of racial isolation. To be honest, they haven't particularly done bad for themselves.

Black History Month isn't about slavery, but rather acknowledging what Black culture has done for our society, and the improvement of, as a whole. It's an American holiday because Black Culture is crucial to the development of America, and America Black Culture's accomplishments are world acknowledged in terms of significance. Slavery just comes as a respectful acknowledgement to what blacks had to go through.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God
