Acid King - III
Was looking to expand my doom collection beyond Electric Wizard, and i'd heard some good things about this so i decided to give it a shot. It's refreshing to hear a female vocalist in this type of music and her voice sounds really awesome against the crushing guitars. The only problem though is that there doesn't seem to be enough variety on this album, it seems pretty one-paced at times. But overall it's a really good album that will probably grow on me more over time.
Sleep - Sleep's Holy Mountain
HOLY ****ING **** THIS IS GOOD!! From the very moment 'Dragonaut' kicked in i knew this was going to be something special. It may just have some of the coolest riffs i've ever heard, they have this groove to them that gets you completely hooked. Their sound is just huge with lots of texture and detail. This feels like an album i could live inside for a while.
