Thumbs up David Bowie----Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars

Allright Reveiw Number two.. Ziggy Stardust, This is the Glam Rock album, it just is. David Bowie and his outfits dressed up as ziggy, well now back to the album, this album is really great, it retains the speed of space odditty, but is little more soft, in a very good way its softer. The album is a story about how a martian named ziggy stardust comes to earth and plays rock and roll.
It has Mick Ronson on guitar, later to play on Lou Reeds Transformer, ( to be reviewed later, i call all glam rock) the most recognizable riff is the ziggy stardust riff... such a great riff. allright now to the track reviews.

5 years:10/10 The Start to this wonderful album, its a song about how earth has five years left to be, and the narrator of the song finnally realizes that it must be true. Its got slow and fast parts. The beginning is David signing softly thoughout with very nice guitar work, and i beleive a violin. Then Towards the end, the guitar speeds up and David starts wailing away.

Soul Love9/10 This song is cool, its mainly about love, hence the title soul love, its got funky guitar bits.. with some shall we say different Bowie vocals..good song..not really necesscary, but good.

Moonage Daydream: 10/10 i really love this song, i beleive its about Ziggy traveling through space to Earth, the lyrics are great, from " im an alligator" to the end its so great, medium paced guitars, and some odd flutish instrument chorus like bit, with a great guitar solo with echoing vocals near the end.

Starman:9/10 Cool acoustic song... with eerie bowie vocals, this about two people who spot ziggy, but ziggy wants to come down to earth, " but he thinks hell blow our minds" Cool symphonics with a great beat.

It Aint Easy: 8/10, Its just a song about it not being easy for ziggy on planet earth, good guitars, very recgonizable song and lyrics are good also.
fast guitars etc.

Lady Stardust:9/10 A great song about ziggys first show, and how he blew them away, with his great guitaring skill, and such. I like the guitars in this one, and the drumming. The title lady stardust also hints at ziggy androgynous appearence.

Star:8/10 a great song about how ziggy, becomes a star in the eyes of the public, a.k.a the rise of ziggy stardust, it details how he becomes even better at the guitar, and his growing fanbase.

Hang On to yourself :9/10 This is detailing, about how ziggy stardust, is starting to become a little bit arrogant and egotistical, hang on to yourself being a great title, for he should have and the next song would not have happened 9 which would be a very bad thing)

ZIGGY STARDUST: 100/10 This is the best song on the album. Its got the famous riffs ( yay i can play them) the memorable lyrics even though its a morbid song, its about how ziggy band betrays them, (we bitched about his fans, should we crush his sweet hands?") and how he ultimatley spirals down into his mind, This is my favorite song ever.

Sufferagette city10/10 great song, even though i must be dense cause i do not have a clue what it has to do with the album... but its still got great guitar work by mick ronson, and david bowies wham bam thank you maam.

Rock n Roll suicide 10/10 second favorite song off the album, never did well as a single though.. but its basically about how ziggys life has turned to ****, and i do beleive that they are signing about that ziggy has killed himself.

TOTAL ALBUM SCORE 9.76/10

It's also been suggested that the song 'Ziggy Stardust' was about Jimi Hendrix.
Anyone heard that before?
Is it even true?

Good review for an excellent album.... It's top 10 for me.

Though i would rate Hang On To Yourself a 10, it's one of my favorite songs on the album.

Anyway, if you call all glam rock, you know what i get dibs on.
