The Love version is AWESOME. Very heavy and bloody trippy as well.

Agreed. I love the combination of Blackbird/ Yesterday. Two of my favorite songs anyway, and the song turned out so beautiful.

Never heard that mix Wayfarer. That was fucking top. I will have to pick that up sometime.

'I Want You' to me just showed the band's unwillingness to jam and rather fiddle around in the studio with dubbing and whatnot. Still an excellent track but they missed an opportunity here. Or maybe not, and it might sound better without jams...who knows.

Favorite songs on album (in order)

1. Something
2. Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End
3. Here Comes The Sun
4. You Never Give Me Your Money
5. Come Together
6. I Want You
7. Oh! Darling
8. Mean Mr. Mustard/Polythene Pam/She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
9. Sun King
10.Maxwell Silver Hammer
11.Octopus's Garden
12.Because

Album is a little too slick for me, I can't really listen it fully without becoming bored but if I listen to it in three song groups it's an amazing album. Great bass work by Paul. Really, Really overrated though.

Definately my favorite Beatles album. Its funny, of all songs it was "octopus' Garden" (which is one of my favorites despite the **** it gets-just a great pop song) that made me go out and buy it in 10th grade.

"Shes So Heavy" might actually be my favorite. I love how the tension builds up with the white noise in the background, when all of a sudden-silence. Its one of the most brilliant songs they ever did, and also the last song they ever recorded.

As far as the novelty songs-it comes down to the Beatles being a pop band in the end. Every one of their albums has them (mostly due to McCartney) and I dont think they detract at all, rather it proves the Beatles didnt take themselves as seriously as some other pretentious 60's bands, which is definately a strength. I think what makes the Beatles great is the variety, None of their albums are full of solely "Hey Jude/A Day In The Life's", they mix it up, and it betters them. Id give Abbey Road a 10/10, its one of my 10 favorite records ever.

If only I had it mailed to me when I came of age.

Favorite Beatles album for me too. With that being said, Octopus and Maxwell are mediocre numbers. John was right to call the latter "more of Paul's granny music".

Upon reading this, just to be difficult, I tried to think of an album from last year that outranked Abbey Road. I tried really hard. I didn't succeed. Sigh.

I was almost going to say Hissing Fauna, but then I just burst out laughing at the sheer absurdity.

I like to skip through Octopus's Garden but I enjoy the rest of this album all the way through.

Something is my favorite followed by I Want You (She's So Heavy).

Honestly I think this is an amazing album all together. MY favorite is Octupus Garden because I think that it difines the beatles and Ringo Star finally shows off his voice. Great album that will go down in history.

9/10

Wall Art

This is my favorite album aside from Revolver and I was pumped because this year for Christmas my fiance got me a huge framed poster of the Abbey Road album cover.
