Apart from that I prefer the more modern beatles, but that is such a beautiful song :)

Completely agree, that song is a gem :thumb: I replayed it over and over for quite a while until I got sick of it.

I've just seen a face is a ditty. A throwaway. I'm sure mccartney didn't care much for it.

With that said, it's also really good! lol

i love everything they did as a group... when they separated - not so much

I've always liked this album from when I first heard it in the mid 90s.

And as for Presley was Col Tom Parker really to blame for all his problems? Maybe we can attach some of the blame to Elvis too?

Howard the Duck 03-12-2011 08:15 AM

well, The Beatles couldn't really hold it together without Epstein around

so was Col Parker that bad?

Epstein couldn't even hold himself together so even if he hadn't have died he wouldn't have been able to control them. He was pretty much sidetracked apart from a few buisness things by the time he died.

Very strong language. It sounds like you are very certain of your standards. In your opinion, what qualities must an album have to earn such a high rating? What albums would fit these criteria?

I dont like the early Beatle as much but I do love Help. This is the first Beatles album where they smoked weed and the improvment is obvious.Thank you Bob Dylan.Like all pop music the themes here are mostly romantic which is boring but the singing is the best in rock history with the possible exception of The Moody Blues

nah - With the Beatles
