Here's My review of the debut album by the band Witch.
Well I got this album back in 2007. Witch hail from the East Coast. Which is a hotbed for Stoner Rock and Doom Metal bands. This band features J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. If you noticed the band members he plays Drums in this band. Plays Guitar for Dinosaur Jr. If your looking for some old school throwback to the seventies style of Metal. Than this is the band for you. I love this bands style on this release. This album has kept it's way in my rotation now for years. If your a fan of early Black Sabbath you should check this out.

Well let's get to the tracks themselves. Seer is a nice opening track. Shows you the style there going for. Good song. Soul On Fire is great metal song with a great riff in it. Black Saint one of my favourites on this release. Another great riff here. Changing not the best song on the album IMO. But still pretty strong. Rip Van Winkle This song is straight from the seventies style of Metal. The band is really tight on this song. Hand Of Glory is a straight forward song. The Vocals are good and lyrics are unique. Isadora great way to close this album with another great band performance. The reason I gave this is 8 Out Of 10 is because some songs have cheesy production. Of coarse that's probably what they where going for.

I'm a massive Dino Jr. fan, but for some reason I waited until now to listen to this side project. Thanks!

I've always been a fan of Dinosaur Jr myself. If I got one person to check this out. I've done what I wanted. I'm not the greatest reviewer. But enjoy spreading the word on music

Ditto. I think he mentioned this somewhere, i know he said something about working with a metal band on the sleeve of Green Mind I think.

ok i got it upon your review

it's great, though some of the riffs sound familiar

and J. Mascis shifting from guitar to drums is a good thing

He were always a drummer, boy.
