What can I say about Totum Hole:

I really had to do a lot of thinking to put to words my feelings about this song as being the first track to hear on the album. I'm going to say that "The Totum Hole" is a really great song. It's very heavy. It's a bit dark and a true blue rock pop song. I mean the song can be interpreted in so many different ways lyrically. The song opens with a water drip and strumming guitars. Melodically really etheral and atmospheric. It's one of those songs that makes your imagination run wild questioning life's purpose.

Why A Reason:

The quintessential pop record. Why a reason opens up very light, very effervescent with a little hint of surprise. The lyrics are pretty straight forward about the issues in life that we all go through. But don't we all ask these same questions in our everyday lives. I have found myself just going over the beat and the lyrics. Saying over and over Why a reason. Who can explain it. It is just that "life". I like this song because to me it totals; what a pop record should sound like.

The Miserable Wallflower:

I have to admit that I really enjoy the Miserable Wallflower because of its beautiful misery. Not because misery is beautiful or anything like that. But having listened to the track. I was impressed by it lyrically, melodically, as well as vocally. Its not one of those songs that covers its self up with production. Instead, it gives itself room and lets the lyrics breath. Pop ballad recording with lots of hidden meaning that turns out to be a twisted love song. You have to hear it for yourself to fully understand the meaning. I tend to listen it over and over a lot.

Amidst the Mist:

What I like about this one is that it is a medium and slow song at the same time. Not a typical sounding pop rock song and definitely not boring either. The violins are trippy yo. Violins and the bass opens up this song and along with electric guitars. light piano is in the background. When she sings I'm losing it; it really takes you to another hemisphere with her voice. its like a sultry pop rockish song.

Be It Hated:

Enough can't be said about Be It Hated. All the songs are great on the album. This song doesn't let you down at all. It starts out like a countdown into a fast ride of metaphors a driving guitar edge mixed in with a big dose of accomplished vocals. The songs meaning is a play on words with the love is the one to Be It Hated Or nothing at all. Like Vieem says. open ended lyris that put forth a feeling of groove with a smoking hot pace.

If Only You'd Know:

One things' for sure, Be It Hated doesn't disappoint with on the slow, love, heartbreak ballad songs at all. Though there is only two slow songs on the album. They both are rather wonderful to listen to over and again. If Only You'd know let's the atmosphere tell the story. Bit stripped, somber, catchy chorus and mostly a piano type of song. Her voice is as fragile as the topic she's talking about. Being left in the dark and feeling unnoticed I guess. I have a couple of great super ballads I can name, but which I won't, that this song reminds me of.

Willow and Weeds:

By now we all know the term "folk-pop" Right? Well if you haven't then you'll hear it as one of those surprising songs that you wouldn't expect to hear on this kind of album but you do. To dissect the song by itself. It really is good song. I like that her voice sounds weirdly folky when she sings this song. There's a distant banjo playing in the background with light marching band sounds, that makes it really soothing. I think this song is really not meant to be singled out. But because it's so different then every other song. It just does. I like this song because it makes me feel alive. It has an awesome breath of fresh air feel to it. Like driving those summer drives in the country. Lyrically, I think I'm most impressed with the production, vocal sensibility and lyrics of the song the most.

Overall Be It Hated is an 8/10 for me. I seriously recommend everyone to get behind this album to purchase it if you want to hear really great music overall.
