The Cure- Disintegration (1989)

The Cure's Disintegration was very different from their previous work, and it was very great.

I can not say that there are any bad tracks on this album. My least favorite is "Homesick," and I still think of it as a decent song. Every song on the album is unique, but with a unique guitar sound that reminds us we're still listening to Disintegration. One of the tracks, "The Same Deep Water as You," is a 10 minute song that they were able to play live well, which was pretty impressive. My favorite track of the album was "Lullaby," with it's strange lyrics being sung in an almost whisper by Robert Smith, and the song contains violins that are displayed in a weird and unique fashion.

Overall, the album is fantastic, and it contains some of my favorite songs ever. I love Robert Smith's voice, lol. Listen to this ****! 94/100.

The album playing in my first girlfriend's room when I kissed her for the first time. 100/100, both the album and the kiss.

That is awesome man!
If only you kissed to The Cure's other album, "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me." xD

Only if 'Just Like Heaven' was playing. There was a fair amount of trite rubbish on that album.

Disintegration is among the best works the Cure ever produced, competing only with a select few other albums in their discography for the top spot (Faith, The Head on the Door, Seventeen Seconds). I'd probably take it as my favorite though.

And yes, it is better than 'The Queen is Dead'.

So the title is the focus of the thread?

That, plus the review of the album by the original poster.

Amazing album, although I own one of the 180g reissues and can't find an original pressing (poop).

I do own an original era pressing of "Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me" though, that one is also boss although it's very different from "Disintegration".

Both are good records to listen to when you're baked.
