Picture sigs
 

Why aren't we allowed picture sigs?? I'd really like to see what people on here would put on their sigs, including myself, I make some pretty kick ass graphics.

I think its a dumb idea for people who have slow computers loading avatars is already a pain in the ass but when you have to deal with your comp getting slowed down because of pics in someone's signature it gets annoying and if you'd bother to read the rules it says "3. Signatures cannot contain images." and in all honesty some of the crap people put in their sigs isn't porn but its pretty damn close and i dont like reading a topic then seeing some half naked pop star. I think its a horrible idea for many reasons.

Aye...I read the rules, but I was asking why.

I could see why you would say no..but why don't you make rules about the images people would put in their sigs...

EG: No half naked people...

well, you get my drift.

Because not everyone would follow the rule read the rules again and you can see multiple ones that are broke daily and theres still the slow computer issue, which is why we have limits on the sizes of the avatars.

Aye...but I've been on boards where everyone has a picture sig and almost everyone has a dial-up...and we don't get complaints....and if someone brakes the rule, ban them, if they are stupid enough to break the rules in the first place they probably aren't worth having on the boards.

Though if that was the case I'd be banned 10 times over. lmao

I'd be weak to ban someone over that, or warn them dial up isn't always an issue to a slow computer and i'd rather not have pics in sigs because it makes the signtatures to large. I think its a stupid idea.

Well you could specify a size.

I don't know. I just want pic sigs.

I brung this up about 4 months ago. In fact it's still on the first page of this thread:laughing:

I think there should be sizes. I.e. A wee strip. Nothing bigger then the size of the "quick reply" box thats at the bottom of every page.

Width over length too, so people don't have to scroll for decades.

and i agree with misfits standpoint on this. if people were aloud pictures in their signatures, theres no telling how much stupid, idiotic, and possibly pornographic stuff people would put in them. especially the occasional spammers that we get around here.
