Forum word censor
 

What's the point? I realize you are going to give me the "there are kids on this site" argument, but really, the censor is unnecessary. Especially for words like d ick, ga y, and probably other words that I haven't seen censored yet. That's getting a bit carried away- they are just words. We know what the person is saying anyway, if they type "fuc k you" or something of that nature. Seeing a curse word is not going to cause someone a mental breakdown. It's just annoying and frustrating to have words censored all the time, on every forum I go to. Please, get rid of it...or at least some of it.

It's built into the site, more trouble to change than it's worth.

Are you sure about that? I don't think any forum comes with a default word censor, and if it did I doubt it would censor something like "G ay."

I've never really understood the inclusion of the word "gay" in the censor.:\

I'm certainly for the censor's removal. Maybe the new management can do something about it...although it's highly unlikely. Everyone avoids it anyway....:|

Some people are too uptight when it comes to profanity. Censorship can go **** itself as far as I'm concerned.

I'm fairly certain it comes with all forums by this company. but what do I know.

If it was up to Music Banter to censor words or not I'm sure I could post this with no asterisks..
