i read a little of the last posts, i want to say

1. absolutely disagree with the telephone numbers proposition.
2. i agree that the "rec me some stuff" threads are usually fun.

3. a suggestion that i dont know is doable.
can the bandcamp or soundcloud or whatever similar links be "embedded" (i m not sure if its the right term) in the message the same way youtube links can?

if its possible i think it would be a good option, because those sites are better for listeners, musicians, labels everyone involved with music than you tube (in my opinion) so it would be nice if they got more use in here.

There wouldn't be much to it code-wise. Getting an admin to actually come through and do it is the only real hurdle.

Although I agree it would be neat and keep the person in the page here, it's just not on my list of really really really important things. Pasting a link someone can click on works too. Like the link in my sig.

well if you going to stream you gonna have compression but other than that youtube is the mega-absolutely-huge-market while bandcamp seems to be close to the musicians/bands and mixcloud/soundcloud are more listener/fans/curators driven..

since you mentioned compression whats your opinion about flac files? you think its worth the extra space compared to 256/320 mp3 files?

Not sure what you're on about with the mega-market vs the little guy thing. They all have their own business model, and they'd all love to be the one everybody logs in to, it's just that YooToob got the jump on everyone by being the most accessible right out of the gate, and they keep it that way.

You want people to listen to lossless, then upload your **** in any lossless format. Pretty simple, really.

everybodys got their business model and i prefer that of bandcamp and mixcloud. i also shortly explained why i prefer it. of course everyone wants more people in. i missed where you disagreed. i never said littleguys or anything like that.

where can you upload looseless? [i genuinely have no idea about this kinds of things...]
