It might take 6 minutes to make it. Not much effort involved. At least not nearly as much effort as it took to create the 6 stickys in the introduction thread. Im sure JoeBlow that stops in and says hi really would like to take his time meeting the mods.....

I think it's a good ideaa.
But I also agree with FaSho.
Most of the people who post in that forum are only here for that one post.
So we'd be making all of these accommodations(sp?) for people who are most likely never going to come back.

It isnt for the benefit of new users, its for the people that try to help answer their questions. I want to help that person that will only post once. Have you looked around at the number of useless stickys around the forum? I'll type it up, it doesnt need to be more than a few sentences. So I'd be making all of these accommodations. If anyone is actually worried about the guy that posts and runs, then they should rethink the fact that probably 1-2% of the 35,000 plus members are actually active.

I think it's a good idea anyways. But I also agree on the fact that who is going to read it. But then you have a strong arguement about the number of stickys in the intro forum but how many of those noobs actually stick around? It's a good point.

If they can't be bothered to help with the genre of the song and genuinely not know one genre from another then I can't be bothered to help them because it's obvious that they won't stick around on a forum full of sad old bastards like myself who like to compartmentalise music.

Yahoo and Google should be enough.

Speaking of which... why is it that people are too lazy to google song lyrics? It's ridiculous, if they don't get their answer within five minutes they usually never comeback. Doesn't that clog the forum with pointless threads?

Hey senior mods, I have a question/suggestion I wanted to run by you guys and I wanted to know if it has been looked at or not, or if it is possible.

Regarding thread anchors, I personally love the anchor system used when clicking on the 'last post' when viewing the main forum, as it brings you right to the point where new replies have been made that you haven't seen.
Would it be possible for this to be a default behavior for other threads when viewing in forums and clicking the thread title?
It would make things a lot easier than having to click on the 'last page' link and navigating back through who knows how many pages to find the point you left off at.

I know this is NOT something that can be done in the mod panel, at least I'm fairly sure, but it should be something the Admin can set up. In any case, if this has already been looked at then that's that.

Thanks

Yeah that sounds useful, I'll forward this to Yac now.

How about:

Unlimited number of images in a post and
The possibility of wrapping text around an image?
