Radiohead Banter? NOOOOOO!
 

As many of you are well aware, Radiohead is a band. They perform music and such. Some of you think they're awesome, some don't. Whichever you prefer is gravy to me. But for chrissakes, stop fucking arguing about it. The majority of people on this forum are intelligent, self-aware human beings that shouldn't have to cope with the hormone-induced shitpile of arguments devoted to this band.

Please, help preserve our sanity by keeping the forum clear of arguments about Radiohead. Thank you.

I'd be happy to see them confined to one thread, even this one. Just not all over the place.

Obviously what this board needs is hundreds of threads debating the merits of Radiohead. And Metallica.

Thats supposedly what the Self-congratulatory Radiohead thread is for. And as far as im aware i havent seen any real mention of Radiohead other than in the Overrated thread, wherein people have the right to discuss them due to the sheer nature of the thread itself. Though maybe im not looking at enough threads. If people ignore it, it'll go away... unless you get people like me who find it quite funny fanning the flames

Half the arguments about Radiohead don't seem to have anything to do with the music.

i've never even seen any of these alleged arguments about Radiohead...

i think the problem is being overstated. the arguments as it has been pointed out are largely confined to threads where such an argument might be relevant. it's only if the argument becomes completely irrelevant to a given thread that we have a problem on our hands. if people want to argue about radiohead or any other band for that matter in a (somewhat) related thread, then why shouldn't they? if so and so doesn't like it, they don't have to read it.

If you are actually arguing about whether a band/musician is good or not then you'd probably be better off advertising your narrow-mindedness.

Music is about merit and appreciation. Of course, these things carry into the business aspect which upsets people who understand that, but if you can listen to it without bias then you probably will not end up arguing with bias or arguing at all.

If you can't pop into a thread without acting like a supreme twat you can shove off.

I never stated my opinion about Radiohead; I wasn't trying to start another argument about Radiohead. And they certainly happen. A lot. And it denigrates the immense respect I have for this forum and its members.
