Swears.

I can understand you wanting to raise the level of debate beyond a 13 year old level...but sometimes I think this site takes it too far.

...in a g.a.y marriage debate for example I can't use the word g.a.y. This term is used by most homosexual organizations(GLAAD, for example), and isn't thought of as a disparaging term. When it is (that's totally g..a..y!), it's usually not homophobic, just a person lacking a wider vocabulary. At the same time I could just write all my replies as (that's stupid, or totally lame, or that sucks), meaning the level debate hasn't really been raised at all.

....both c.u.m. and g.a.y. are non-slang terms in the dictionary.(maxima c.u.m laude). I know people rarely ever use them in a non-slang way, but it's kind of lame that you would have to censor perfectly acceptable dictionary english.

I know whatever software you used would be innefective if it had to consider the context of every use of a particular word. But I can be just as vulgar without without using swears.(your mom likes to ride my johnson, lick my hickory stick, I've got to go poo-poo).

...as far as the F-word goes, what about bands that have the f-word in their band title or song titles? Why not have something like if you use the f-word more than three times it doesn't let you post to prevent gratuitous usage?

Something you failed to mention is that we can't post pictures or links with censored words in the URL. Pretty convenient, isn't it?
