Sig Pictures

Does the "upload file" portion of the signature section actually work?
I'm able to put a picture in my sig via the URL option, but it's limited to a filesize of 19.5kb, and the picture dimensions don't override the size limit.

But in the "upload" option, the dimensions are supposed to override the size limit if they meet the 500x100 limit, which my prospective picture does.
After using the code to insert the uploaded file into my sig, I'm able to preview the sig with the picture, but it does not show up in the forums.

I've verified that all my settings are correct as far as view options with sigs and avatars are concerned, so my question is:

Is there a known issue with sig image upload? Or is there a known issue with the dimension override?

Nevermind... It's working, for some odd reason. Not that I did anything different.
Is this forum normally so flaky?

Edit:
Seems that the sig changes are only reflected in posts made after the change.
This is unlike avatar change behavior.
I wonder why this is...
