On Forum upgrades

As i've mentioned before, I post on a few forums. One I've been particularly impressed with, tech-side, is "Politics Form." They seem to be operating on Vbuleting as well (if the link-uploader is any indication) but their system functions are fairly advanced.

Feel free to check it out: Politics Forum

Hmm, not sure what you're actually asking.

I quite like the 'Current Poll', 'Latest Posts', 'Latest Discussions' and 'Hottest Threads' feature, found on the right-hand side of the main-page.

Animated National Flags, Thanking-System, and Rankings aren't too shabby either.

But like I said, not sure what you're asking for...

One of the things I love about this forum is that it doesn't have a thanking system.

What's wrong with a Thanking-System?

I would like to be appreciated for my wonderful posts...

*erm*

not asking, proposing.

its repl with quotes function is amazing, its PM system is great. I really enjoy a lot of its features.

The old owner used to update it fairly often and the site would be down for a period of time for maintenance. It was always nice to come back and see new things, especially when we got that banner, it was so darn snazzy.

gregb was a lot more pro active.
He was hard to get hold of at times and we didn't always see eye to eye, but his improvements were many in the time he was Admin.
I can count on one hand the cosmetic differences made to MB under the new regime over the past few years, not including the usual updates.
Poor by comparison.

Well MB is one of the poorest Vbulletin forums I've ever been to. That's why I'm always surprised it's as popular as it is.

Usually when little things like small PM space, very poor smiley library, shoutbox at the bottom that no one even notices, inability to have a big size avatar from the personal USER CP , no "most popular threads" "biggest poster" etc... statistics and many more, are missing, that's a sign of the forum not being "lived in" much. Which put new users off.

Luckily, the reviews and discussions save the day.

I've tried just about everything to get this place improved, barring mass member pressure.

Time for a revolution? ;)
