You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 15 posts or more.

Okay I get it, it's some sort of spam filter but still, I'd like to share music and recommendations by posting Youtube links and stuff, and I haven't made more than 2 posts so far... or so it says on my profile despite that I've actually made about 5 posts!!

It kind of encourages "trolling" because all I want is to come up to 15 posts so I can really start to discuss music. Do I need to post URLs/links in order to do that? Well no, but it's an option I perfer .

If you have made posts in the lounge then they don't add to your post count and why wait until 15 posts to talk about music? Surely you can talk about music seriously if that's what you are here for.

If you are here just to promote a band then the posts will be deleted anyhow so the 15 post rule discourages trolling as the posts are deleted and accounts banned if it's promotion and we can tell in just a few posts if people are spamming just to promote something.

No no I'm not here to promota a band, or at least not any band I know in person. I do have a couple of favourite bands that don't seem to have gotten any recognition here so i thought I'd start discussion(s) about them.... and what better way to start than posting a few available videos as bait.

I realize the rules won't change because of me nor do I have the time to talk **** in order to come up to 15 posts, so I guess I'll just wait till I accidentaly get there.

Embedded Youtube links are not affected by the 15 post rule

I'm a member of another site that won't even let you view certain material until you've made a minimum of 50 posts. 15 posts won't kill you. :rolleyes:

That's funny, I tried embedding a Youtube video and still got the minimum 15 post message.
