What's Going On With The Visitor Messages

Whenever someone left spam on my visitor messages I was always given the option of soft deleting it or perma deleting it.

Someone left some spam on mine a couple of days ago and when I went to delete it the option to perma-delete it had disappeared so I could only do a soft delete.

Please get admin to bring it back, I hate having half deleted posts on my profile.

Did it have anything to do with your being a mod?

Well the last time I was able to do it was a few weeks ago and I've not been a mod since just after Christmas.

Oh, hm. I haven't any idea, but I physically deleted it for you in the meantime.

The spoft-deleted messages are only visibly to you, no one else can view them. They are annoying, but I've never had the option for a permanent deletion on my profile. Must have been exclusive to mods/admins?

Maybe it was something left over from when I was a mod that wasn't disabled or something.

I remember when I was a mod I had my ability to edit polls disabled for some reason, so maybe it's not clear cut as to just pressing one button to enable or disable something.
