I have no idea what boo boo wanted or didn't want. At the time it seemed like his comments were intended either as some kind of resignation or as some kind of throwing down of the gauntlet. So either way it made sense to permaban him. Either way, my comment was intended as best wishes on him moving on to bigger and better things in life. Sorry it wasn't written as well as it could have been I guess, but it is what it is.

As a moderator, I guess my opinion might count for something so I'll add it even though the thread is locked.

I like Boo Boo; he was a core ingredient in our little prog community and contributed a lot to the forums. I believe he loves the site and our community. But, I acknowledge that his old self is too out of control for Musicbanter. Considering how many chances he got, I support the decision to tempban him although I feel the duration was longer than what I'd given him.

What I'd really like to see is a changed Boo Boo coming back to the forums and behaving according to the rules. Although I figure that was unlikely at best, I'm sad to see this thread has made a turn that makes it seem like an impossibility.
