Comedy/Spoken Word Forum

I understand this is a music based forum, but what are the opinions of having a forum dedicated to spoken word and comedy albums, performers, shows, ect...?

Personally, I see it having much of the same benefits of the other forums. Obviously, the exchange of content is a good thing and would happen on any of the other forums.. There is a cross over appeal with music as well. Take someone like Henry Rollins being a prominent spoken word artist in recent years. Or the musical elements of comedy albums by Bill Hicks. So, I don't think this would be too much of a stretch within the context of music banter.

This is not a request for a forum or a demand for the creation of one. This is more or less for exploring the topic and seeing the reaction of the MB community to the idea.

Your thoughts?

I think that the Comedy aspect would fall under the umbrella of the Media subforum, with the Spoken Word going in the Lyrics/Poetry section. But I'm definitely down for a thread dedicated to Mitch Hedberg or Greg Giraldo.

I'm inclined to think that such a forum would be too inactive to really be worth creating. You can always talk about comedy in Media, and spoken word in General if you like.

This. While it would be great to have active forums for many topics like the ones mentioned, the fact is if there isn't going to be enough activity there isn't really a point.

I think it would be nice to have. Give people similar to Stephen Lynch a home. I don't feel its right to throw him into folk/country, do you?
