I happen to think this thread is hilarious and your original post was hilarious. Ethan/PissMeOff/JJJ/Jackhamer/Seltzer/RT and so on would have loved this.

I thought this thread was pretty funny. Music discussion is better right now than it has been in a long time so I just took it as a joke.

Exactly. I actually think this place is booming at the moment. But there is always someone that isn't happy, to which I say, don't complain, act on it. Creating a music forum discussion area defeats the purpose of the other music sections.

I can't believe mods apologizing for their reaction to this thread. yall are crazy.

^ This. Let's figure out how to do this: force members into dead forums. I don't know how exactly, but it would be a new twist that you wouldn't expect at a music forum: "Look, you joined, now you have to post in [insert specific music forum], or you die. You've gotta make 15 posts per week, or else. Go!"

Here's a possibility. Every once in a while we should have the mods hide a whole forum (like General Music), and see what happens. That would be one way to force people into other forums...even electronica! ;) Just imagine: one crisp, Scottish morning, Kayleigh will visit MusicBanter and see that HOLY SHIT, the only music forum available to post in is electronica!!! "Oh happy day!"

The trouble is, you don't have to post every time you're on here. If you hide a certain section people like, it won't force them to do anything. We'll just log off immediately.

The only productive varient of this idea is to temporarily close the lounge, which there's not really any harm in doing for a week or so.
