Bulldog, Molecules, Akira are the three that stick out among the new group. I'm just listing posters who I made a personal connection with because they stepped out on a limb and openly encouraged broadening my horizons musically. I'm not necessarily trying to define an "old guard" but I will not hesitate to say that when those posters were in their heyday there wasn't even a semblance of "cliques" or "social networking" as a driving force for the boards. Music was our purpose for being here, sharing it and communicating our love for devouring new tracks. I cannot honestly say that it is the same today given the huge amount of people who use MB as nothing more than a secondary Facebook/Twitter. |
