The Separation of the Rock and Metal Forum

Having just been in that forum I'm seeing around 50/50 of rock to metal threads in there.
When one outweighs the other greatly then I would suggest there might be the demand to separate them

So? Why does that matter? The Rock/Metal forum doesn't get enough traffic to warrant separating them. This is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
