While that may be consistent on our end, we can't ensure that users won't learn our time-frame for deletion and intentionally post so that a negligible post will end up 10th, saving their really important one.

However, to combat this, we could simply pick random times generated by a randomizing time application to delete every 10th post, that way we have no control over whose post we delete, based on the fact that the list will have populated many times over in the time-frame. Doing this, we could be consistent, and avoid accidentally clicking random things with our eyes closed.

This is very doable.
I think it can be effectively implemented.

You are such a genius! Because I really need to be a fit mod, and this process will be flawless to keep everyone pleased with me. Because I really, really care. I nearly cried myself to sleep last night thinking about how horrible I've been.

Reading this thread, I can't help wonder how much of it is humour and how much of it is bitterness. ;)

Criticism comes with the job. You're gonna have to deal with it somehow. Is this the best way?

I say we force all posts to compete in a series of deadly games, the survivors will be allowed to stay on the forum.

Something I learned working in customer service that applies to our task here is that people will not notice when an environment is clean, but they'll notice if it's dirty.

That can be pretty disheartening. I understand how criticism sounds. Hey, I'm defensive too. That said, we've taken this quite a ways for what amounts to three complaints.
