Theyre actually on a lot more than we see... They just dont post. If I send a PM about somethin that needs to be done, its gets sorted within a couple of days. They just dont post every time they come on..

firstly. if ensemble ever became a mod id leave without hesitation. secondly, this is turning into another popularity contest. thirdly, who cares if nobody nominates you to be a mod..if that gets to you i suggest you inherit a life.

My "suggestion" is that what will more mods do? I like the absence of Mod's for the most part, they banned the racist peice of **** we had on awhile back and that was almost immediate. In my opinion there isn't much more need for administrative action.

from what i understand a few of the mods are a little busy for this site this summer and probably wont be around much; therefore we would all be swimming in free ipod threads and other useless garbage in no time.

Bad Mods:
TommyRocker + Adidas- Self proven
Stu- Too much influence by TommyRocker since they are close
All the Spammers in the Lounge that turn most threads into a 2 person conversation.


As for the members that have been here for less than 3 months, I don't think they should really have any decision here. Although they might be good people I don't think its fair because many of the senor members really know the people better.

^ I think they have already chosen 2 new mods. I don't know if they are planning on choosing more or not.

Now we got Satchmo as a mod... Wow. Not exactly the best decision in my mind. Yes he is experienced in music, but he is relatively new and there's a lot of other older members with the same amount of knowledge gregb should've considered.

I thought 2 was the magic number of nominations also???

Congrats to the new mods, you all deserve it, especially the one with enough dedication to the site to make straying members promise to start posting again. You'll do a grand job. :)

I hope that anyone who is concerned about this issue will understand that first an foremost I'm here because I enjoy being here. I'm not about taking anything away from anyone. Gregb offered me the position of moderator and I accepted. Was I surprised? Yes, and for the same reasons that many of you were. I completely understand some people's reservations about his decision. If at any point in time gregb decides he made a poor decision in making me a moderator I openly invite him to revoke the position. Until then I'll take on the responsibility with my best discretion. Now can we all get over this and talk about some music?

Yeah man... No hard feelings. I can trust that you'll make good decisions as a Moderator from seeing your input to these boards and your maturity. I guess I acted on impulse to my first reactions of greg electing you as a Mod. Now that I look back on it I have a different understanding of the whole thing.

I was actually proud to be a member for over three months (as far as I know) and not make the bad list. I'd never make the good list, so in my mind not making the bad one is a compliment. Thank you Zealious.

i fully expect to be on any negative list zealious decides to randomly produce. its just the way the cookie crumbles.

Hmm, I'm not going to say much on the new moderators.

While i respect all of their opinions it seems that some of them might be a bit too junior (considering I know the Fenix and SATCHMO are both older than me) on this forum.

But thats they way things go. Congrats to the new mods.

(by the way I'm on almost everyday, just sometimes i choose not to post if nothing is worth saying. This week was final exams thats why I didn't come on at all)

for what its worth, i was surprised you didnt get asked RAR, i thought for sure you were gonna be one, and you would of been good choice in my opinion. Lots of people nominated you, wonder why you didnt get asked? or did you?

There will always be a larger number of quality members than can be staff members. We have a small staff now, as MB grows we will continue to add and modify as needed.

how long they've been a member is irrelevant. what matters is their knowledge and understanding.

Satchmo,Hookers, and Fenix will make great mods in my opinion.
RAR and Zealious would have made great mods too but it's basically the same thing. The exact same things are going to happen regardless who holds the title of "mod".
It's just the blow to the ego that makes members want to argue the decision.
If RAR and Zealious stay on longer though and ask gregb to make them mods, I bet they'll hold the title.
It'll only take a little more time.

maybe we could have like jr. mods or sumpthin. just a title to make me feel special:)
