Now that I look at his profile, he hasn't come online since August. The last things he posted were in the SYG thread. I'll miss him if he doesn't return. :(

I remember, but didn't think he would leave at the time. I think it's kinda a shame cause I didn't anything that was said was so terrible to quit over. I can't speak for Fred, maybe he felt otherwise. The SYG thread has it plus & minuses. I guess the downside is people getting into disagreements and having their feelings hurt, which really could happen anywhere on the site really. Since I was part of that whole conversation I felt bad that it all unfolded the way it did. I know it's not up to me but I hope he reconsiders.

edit: I came in to give Astronomer a mention, I was kinda disappointed to hear that Fred hasn't been back since then.
