It's called self control.

Some people don't have it so they need to be forced to not come and post.

I just don't think looking at and posting on an Internet forum is something you dedicate all of your attention to. Do people sit and stare at the screen hitting refresh nonstop for hours at a time?

Well, i usually get some work done or watch a youtube video or whatever then hit the new posts button, read it all, then repeat.

Maybe it's just me, other people must be reading entire threads and junk.

I do a long post or a long read from time to time, I just personally can't imagine it being debilitating enough to have to make it so that you literally can't post. Even then you can still read threads or even log back in if you wanted.

As pathetic as it might seem, when I first joined MB there was enough interesting content that I would spend hours on here reading and discussing things across the entire forum.

I lurked for a month or two before I joined, and I did the exact same thing. Mind you that was only a year and a half ago or so.
