Hissy fit, conniption fit... never heard snit fit.

Is that common?

Not common common, anymore than you ever really hear hissy fit or conniption fit in everyday conversation, but as far as I know it's a thing that someone somewhere says. It also sounds funnier to me.

My aunt uses "hissy fit" a lot, and she is the only person I know who says it. She use to live in Jersey, so I don't know if that is a Jersey saying or not, is it? I never heard of any one saying "conniption fit" together like that, just "conniption" by itself. Can't say I ever heard of "snit fit" either, but it sounds like it was coined by Dr Seuss.

It is redundant.. That's just how I've heard it used.

Don't you even read his journal? Why did I even ask that? He said he would be taking a break from the forum to deal with some personal stuff.

Never even heard of the word "conniption"...

Also, anyone know the whereabouts of Unknown Soldier? Miss that guy and his updates to his journal. :(

I miss the guy too. I PM'd one of his journal co-writers and he said US was busy with work.
