I used to watch it. Several American sitcoms were really popular on TV back in the 90's and early 2000's.

I've also watched a lot of Seinfeld, Frasier, Spin City and of course Friends.

Samoth (from famed black metal band Emperor) has an amusing stage name. It sound all evil and black metal-y, but it's just Thomas, more or less backwards.
