It's funny because I actually agree that the long time inactive mods should be un-modded but there just aren't any replacements around and there really isn't a mod problem here. You guys just like drama.

This is the problem tho. They don't need to be replaced. If you cut off like 3 of the inactive mods, your work load would not suddenly increase. I'd wager that it wouldn't even make a difference. There's just too many mods for the smaller amount of activity here. Most of the inactive mods were mods when MB was much busier.

Well, it's a status that's conferred on members that contribute something to the forum, and also I suppose that when it was conferred on them it was expected for them to do stuff. In the past some mods stood down when they lost interest in what is possibly a tedious task. To me that's the correct thing to do; to politely return the honour that you were given. It doesn't speak well of the innactive mods that they still want a chair reserved for them at the table even though they don't bother showing up.
